SitNGo Wizard 2 Adds Ben Roberts Equity Model

There's a new addition to SitNGo Wizard 2 that we wanted to let our PokerSoftware readers know about. According to program officials, "SitNGo Wizard 2 now includes a new equity model developed by Ben Roberts. The new model is an alternative to standard ICM calculations. The Roberts model is faster than ICM and, according to Roberts, more realistic."

All you need to do to use the Ben Roberts Equity Model is open the "Settings" menu and change the default equity model to "Roberts". Then, SitNGo Wizard 2 will start employing it. And, if you hate it, you can always switch back.

In a document outlining why his model is superior to what many poker players use, Roberts explained, "I present a new algorithm to approximate ICM equities, which through testing has consistently proven to be more accurate than the Malmuth-Harville algorithm, as well as being computationally inexpensive. Furthermore, my new algorithm can be adapted to perform a quick approximation of equities in large player pools, which the MH algorithm cannot do in reasonable time."

In several examples that Roberts presented, his algorithm more closely paralleled a player's true equity in a hand compared to the Malmuth-Harville model. In addition, his model's compatibility with large fields should not go unnoticed, as if you're battling in a larger field, knowing your equity in a reasonable length of time should be important.

As Roberts posted on Two Plus Two, "My algorithm is based on a completely different model. That is, the equities produced are different (and generally more accurate) than those generated by Malmuth-Harville. It is an additional bonus that my algorithm can also be adapted to cope with large player fields."

SitNGo Wizard 2 recently added a brand new quiz mode, which allows you to select opponents' hand ranges. It's one of the top programs available for sit and go enthusiasts and should be used by all serious sit and go players.

SitNGo Wizard 2 is still in beta, although the beta tag will likely be removed shortly. The regular version runs $99 and has a free 30-day trial. Visit SitNGo Wizard's website today.
